Our Sensitive Ducks
We have a lovely group of beautiful ducks who call the sanctuary home. We love to watch them enjoying life. They spend their days swimming in the pond, napping together and searching for tasty treats in the mud. Some of them like to have their backs rubbed and to be scratched under their wings! Others prefer to keep their distance from us. They all have strong friendships within the group. The ducks also enjoy the company of other species of animals, especially the pigs.

The ducks feel safest when Mason the pig is nearby!
We think Ali believes he is a pig rather than a duck! He spends almost all of his time with the pigs.
Ali and Mason are the cutest couple!
Valentine was the first pig to take a nap with Umlaut and Tilde when they arrived!
The ducks relax by the pond and plan their next swim session.
Cedilla enjoyed her warm foot soaks when she had a minor bumblefoot issue.
The ducks love to swim around in their pond! It's fun to watch them put their heads underwater to look for food. The splashing and butts in the air are too cute!
Our ducks form close bonds with each other. In this video, Dash is preening (and maybe slightly annoying) Cedilla.
